Native Instruments has released an update to Kontakt 8, its software sampler and virtual instrument platform.
The update introduces the Tool, which provides expressive polyphonic aftertouch directly within Kontakt without requiring specialized hardware. This feature allows users to shape movement, note response, and performance in new ways.
Additional changes include support for NKS Controller Manager, enabling compatible third-party hardware to automatically map to and control Kontakt. The update also incorporates bug fixes and other enhancements.
This update is available for free to existing users via Native Access.
More information is available on the Native Instruments website and the Kontakt page.
