Vir2 Instruments has launched SkyGlow: Light Atmosphere Designer, a Kontakt Player-powered instrument designed for effortless atmospheric scoring.
The library creates luminous, cinematic textures using manipulated guitars, cellos, pianos, vintage hardware synthesizers, and tempo-synced melodic elements. Immersive field recordings from Hawaii’s remote ecosystems, such as ocean waves and native bird calls, contribute an organic layer of depth.
SkyGlow includes over 800 tonal and atonal sound sources, luminous drones and atmospheres, tempo-synced textures and rhythms, and four separate sound engines. Users can score in real time via a central X/Y pad, access 130 presets, and load any external sample.
Aimed at composers seeking evolving atmospheres with subtle motion, the instrument produces breathing, expansive soundscapes.
SkyGlow is available at Plugin Boutique for an introductory price of $149.95 USD until May 12th, 2026, with a regular price of $199.95 USD. More details are on the product page.
