Plugin Boutique is offering Trident Mk III for $39 USD, down from its regular price of $69 USD—a 43% discount. This exclusive promotion on Cherry Audio’s virtual instrument ends April 30th, 2026. Check it out at the Trident Mk III product page.
Trident Mk III emulates the sonic characteristics of the original 1981 and 1982 Trident Mk I and Mk II hardware synthesizers. It recreates their multitimbral setup while adding modern enhancements for greater flexibility.
This plugin suits vintage synth enthusiasts and contemporary music producers seeking authentic polyphonic sounds with expanded capabilities.
The deal provides an affordable entry to a detailed emulation that combines historical accuracy with new tools, making it accessible during the limited sale period.
Cherry Audio has recreated key sections of the original hardware: the sweeping Synth, bold Brass, and stirring Strings. Each now supports 16 voices, velocity sensitivity, aftertouch, and polyphonic aftertouch.
The lower panels for Keyboard, the new Motion feature, and Effects have been expanded. They include drag-and-drop zones and quick templates for splits and layers, plus a DAW-friendly 16×2 polyphonic step sequencer and dual arpeggiators.
Trident Mk III offers 17 studio-quality effects across four chains, including the original BBD flanger, compressor, lo-fi effect, phaser, ring modulator, 7-band EQ, and reverbs like the new Lushverb. Effects can be arranged and reused.
Additional features include comprehensive MIDI mapping and over 370 professionally designed presets. It runs on Windows and Mac in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
