The SSL Guitarstrip is a processor designed for electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. It includes four tailored modules for shaping tones during pre-mix and mixing stages.

This plugin suits producers, mix engineers, and guitarists handling DI tracks in DAWs. Its tools address common guitar processing needs like drive, compression, and phase alignment.

The DRIVE module features two classic analogue drive emulations—a guitar amp and bass amp—for adding overdrive and grit to guitar and bass DIs. Controls like BOOST, PUNCH, EDGE, and SHAPE sculpt added harmonics, while the DRIVE MIX dial blends from distortion to subtle saturation. It also tames harshness or enhances acoustic recordings.

The COMPRESSOR section offers five preset response characteristics to control levels or add punch to guitar tracks.

The PHASE CORRECTION module identifies and fixes phase issues between multiple recordings using DELAY, PHASE INVERT, and ALLPASS filters. Set the ALIGN TO mode for alignment, and repurpose the delay for adding stereo depth to mono signals.
