Triple A Audio has partnered with Plugin Boutique to introduce a unique limited-time discount on its Kontakt instrument library highlighting the mesmerizing sounds of the Armenian Qanun.
In collaboration with Serj Tankian, the renowned Lebanese-Armenian musician and songwriter from System of a Down, the intricately sampled Folk Noir: Qanun is now available at a 20% reduced price for a short period.
The Qanun holds a historical significance dating back to the roots of music itself. Once played in the Assyrian courts and documented by ancient Greek historians, this instrument continues to enchant audiences across the Middle East and further. Given its historical prominence, Triple A Audio consciously selected it as their inaugural instrument for release.
This meticulously sampled Armenian Qanun faithfully captures its essence, originally handcrafted in a small Armenian village in the Southern Caucasus. Constructed from wood with a base covered in animal skin, it features metal levers and wooden tuning pegs for pitch adjustments, offering a musical range spanning up to three and a half octaves. To play, a musician adorns silver thimbles and picks crafted from bull horns on both index fingers.
Compatible with the full version of Kontakt 6 or above, Folk Noir: Qanun is presently priced at $79.99 USD until April 19th, 2024, marked down from its regular price of $99.99 USD.
