Plugin Boutique has announced an exclusive sale on Discord4 by Audio Damage, a unique tool for manipulating sound that was originally modeled after the Eventide H910.

The pitch-shifter effect plugin features three separate algorithms: a “vintage” mode (based on the original Discord algorithm modeled from the Eventide H910 and H949), a “clean” mode for more modern pitch-shifting sounds, and a “granular” mode for experimenting with effects.

Each mode has its own strengths, depending on the input material. Discord3 offers a wide range of capabilities as a result. The P1 and P2 algorithms provide full control over the buffer (window) size of the pitch-shifting effect, allowing for precise adjustment of the shift to match the input signal or to achieve unique sound effects. When pushed to the extremes of the six-octave shift range, intriguing aliasing and artifacts can be obtained using this control.

Discord4 retains the tempo-synced delays and bandpass filters from previous versions and introduces a reverb in the feedback loop, making it easy to create “shimmer” effects. The original modulation sources have been replaced with the new FLFO (Flexible LFO) design. Panorama controls are included to adjust the stereo width of the wet signal. Additionally, the signal path now features improved soft saturation and limiting for an overall enhanced sound and added vintage-style warmth, while also allowing for extreme feedback experiments without the risk of overloading your DAW’s channel.

Discord4 is currently discounted at £18.95 GBP / $24 USD until August 20th, 2023. The plugin is compatible with VST/VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
