AudioThing has introduced an update to its Things series bitcrusher and multimode filter effect plugin.

Version 1.2.1 of Things Crusher now includes oversampling capabilities up to 16x, graphical controls for adjusting brightness and contrast, and compatibility with macOS 14 Sonoma.

Things – Crusher serves as a user-friendly Filter and Bit Crusher effect plugin, drawing inspiration from the effect section of the instrument plugin Noises.

Within Crusher, you will find a multimode filter (lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch) with 2 or 4-pole options, an output gain, and a sharp bit crusher (bits, downsample, mix) combined with a harshness control derived from our Reels plugin.

The Crusher plugin is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems in VST/VST3, AU, AAX, and CLAP formats. Currently priced at 9 USD/EUR (usually 19 USD/EUR), it is on sale at the AudioThing store and Plugin Boutique until October 31st, 2024. Additionally, the iOS/AUv3 version is available for $3.99 USD on the App Store.
