KORG has introduced an update to its collection of software synthesizers that faithfully reproduce the authentic sound and characteristics of some iconic KORG synthesizers.
KORG Collection 5 now includes three additional widely adored instruments in the package, expanding the total to 14 synthesizers, 2 effects processors, and 1 drum machine.
The KORG Collection comprises a set of software synthesizers that meticulously and faithfully replicate the genuine sound and behavior of legendary KORG synthesizers, catering to the modern era and beyond. Originating with analog models like the MS-20 and Polysix, the KORG Collection has progressed to encompass digital models such as the classic workstations M1 and TRITON, along with physical modeling from the esteemed Prophecy.
In the year 2024, KORG is incorporating three more globally acclaimed instruments into the KORG Collection, each leaving a significant imprint on the history of music.
- ARP 2600 stands as a legendary, genre-defining synthesizer introduced in 1971, profoundly impacting jazz, rock, pop, and funk in the 70s, while also featuring in numerous movies. KORG authentically recreated and reissued the ARP 2600 in 2020 as the ARP 2600 FS/ARP 2600M. The ARP 2600 has been meticulously modeled and replicated.
- VOX Super Continental represents a meticulously modeled combo organ originating in the 1960s, prominently featured in music from the 1960s British Invasion era through the ska and new wave scenes of the 70s and 80s.
- EP-1 emulates electric pianos from the 1960s that have garnered affection in soul, jazz, and pop music ever since. This plugin is based on the MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology developed for Korg’s renowned KRONOS and NAUTILUS synthesizers.
The KORG Collection 5 is currently priced at $299 USD (regularly $399 USD). The new instruments can also be purchased individually at $99.99 USD each during the Summer Sale until August 18th, 2024.
The promotion is accessible at the KORG store and through Plugin Boutique.
